As part of our activation process, all properties must be verified before they can go live on LekkeSlaap. The documents required depend on the ownership structure of the property.
Please find your ownership type below to see which documents are needed to verify your property and activate your listing.
Individual Ownership
If the property is owned by an individual, please provide:

A copy of the owner’s South African ID

A bank confirmation letter (not older than 3 months)
Individual Owner with a Manager or Host
If the owner has appointed a manager or host to manage the property, we require:

A copy of the owner’s ID

A copy of the manager’s or host’s ID

A signed LekkeSlaap mandate

A bank confirmation letter (in either the owner’s or manager’s name, not older than 3 months)
Company or Close Corporation (Pty Ltd or CC)
If the property is owned by a company or close corporation, please submit:

The latest CIPC registration document

A copy of the ID of an active director (the person listing the property)

A bank confirmation letter in the company’s name (not older than 3 months)
If the property is listed on behalf of the company by a manager, we will also require:

The manager’s ID

A signed mandate
Trust Ownership
If the property is registered in a trust, the following documents are required:

The latest Letter of Authority (LOA)

A copy of the ID of the trustee listing the property

A bank confirmation letter in the trust’s name (not older than 3 months)

A signed LekkeSlaap trust resolution
Other Ownership or Special Circumstances
In some cases, additional documentation may be required:

Sectional title schemes or estates:
A municipal bill or utility statement to confirm the exact unit details -
Tribal or communal land:
